Frequently Asked Questions

will vivid replace my primary care physician?

VIVID is not meant to replace your primary care physician. We focus on longevity medicine rather than primary care. A primary care provider is a person you see for regular check-up such as annuals and women’s health exams and addresses concerns such as acute illness like cough or cold symptoms or rash. They are your home base for your medical concerns. VIVID is a speciality geared towards optimizing your healthspan and preventing decline and/or reversing chronic illness. We encourage you to continue to work with your primary care provider and strive to keep open lines of communication and collaboration with them.

What is the cancellation policy for non-established patient consultations?

A no show appointment is paid in full with no refunds, Cancellation within 72 hours will receive a 50% refund, and cancellations prior to 72 hours will receive a full refund. All refunds will be charged processing fees.

Will I be a patient if I do an AMA or Introductory consultation?

Please understand that these sessions are for general informationally purposes only and does not constitute the practice of medicine, nursing or other professional healthcare services including the giving of medical advice. No doctor patient relationship is formed through the "Ask Me Anything" or “Introductory” session. If after the session, you would like to become a patient of Dr. Tunson’s, a formal intake process into the practice will begin.

what will my vivid journey look like?

Though everyone’s journey is very personalized, every patient will experience a common flow through this experience. The first phase of the journey usually takes 6 months- 1 year and is about establishing where you stand as a foundation of our work together and to identify what the standout areas of focus should be. This is accomplished through in depth discussions, extensive lab work, genetic evaluation, imaging, real-time monitoring of your body’s response to environment and consistent communication and planning. The second phase is where we begin active treatment and modifications, focusing in on the identified areas from phase one (for example sleep optimization or cardiovascular risk modification). Most patients will have one to two areas of focus that are identified in phase one. As no individual is the same, some will have numerous areas that require attention and others will move right to maintenance. The third phase is about maintenance, fine tuning and small course corrections as we continue to move through different seasons of life.

what is the payment structure?

VIVID patients pay an annual fee in a stepdown structure according to the phase of your journey you are in. In this way the annual fees are front loaded in the more intensive phases and decrease as you move to maintenance.

Phase 1 is $12,500 for the initial year

Phase 2 is $8000/year

Phase 3 is $3,500/year

Some patients may move directly from Phase one to Phase 3 and some will have been in Phase 3 for several years and encounter a need for more intensive treatment at some point requiring a return to Phase two. If you are interested in becoming a patient and learning more book an introductory consultation with me.

Can I be a patient in any state?

For informational and consulting services only (“Ask Me Anything” and “Introductory Consultation”) a client can schedule from any state.

However, to establish patient care with Dr. Tunson you must conduct virtual appointments from the states of Washington, Colorado or California, Maryland or New Hampshire. If you are very interested in becoming a patient but live in another state please contact us to inquire. If there are multiple inquiries from a particular state, Dr. Tunson will consider additional licensing.

Are there any conflicts of interest?

No, integrity and evidence based/informed care free of bias is a fundamental tenet of this practice. Dr. Tunson does not receive any money or kickbacks from any of the partnerships or companies she recommends. Products and supplements that may be recommended are only done so due to vetting of the best product and purest supplemental sources confirmed through consumer testing. As a medical practice we do obtain wholesale pricing of supplements in order to provide our patients discounted products we believe in. We frequently re-evaluate and adjust as new research and products come out. For the sake of full transparency, should any COI (conflicts of interest) arise, they will be listed here.
